Robert J. Fairchild

Robert was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 12th, 1985 to parents AJ and Bridget Fairchild. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1994 when Rob was 9 years old. Through his school years, he played on some of the top hockey teams in the region. He was a graduate of Northern Arizona University where he studied Business Marketing and played hockey for the NAU Ice Jacks. He led the team in scoring as a freshman and was a part of the program as they moved to the top of ACHA Hockey nationally. Robert later moved to Chicago to attend coding school where he graduated as a Software Engineer.

Robert is survived by his parents AJ and Bridget Fairchild, his brother Douglas Fairchild, his wife Katie and their son Stanley. Nephew to Toni Flecker (Jeff) of Ramona, CA, Michael Fairchild (Debbie) of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa DeAndrea (Larry) of Carlsbad, CA. Katy Pohlmann (and the late Buck Pohlmann) of Lake Forest, IL Cousin to Stacy Trevino (Rico) of Rye, NY, Courtney Schuld, (Vince) of Lake Forest, IL, Ashley Winterstein (Kyle) of Phoenix, AZ, Lindsey O’Neil (David) of Phoenix, AZ, Ali Heppe (Craig) of Prescott, AZ, Jeffery Flecker Jr. (Jodie), Margo Miller, Ellen Emerson (Riley), Emily Flecker, Henry Flecker, Lauren DeAndrea, Ali DeAndrea. Grandson to the late Arnold and Rosemary Fairchild of Phoenix, AZ and Charles and Margaret O’Donnell of Pensacola, FL.

His family and friends will deeply miss his great sense of humor and his love and concern for everyone.

A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be held on Friday December 17th, 2021, 1:00 pm at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd, Phoenix, 85022.
