He was born on June 4, 1958 in Holbrook and attended Holbrook Schools, he worked 30 plus years as GEO Technical Engineer with ADOT, Foree and Vann and RAM Engineering.
Ricky known to his hunting buddies as “The Foreman” and “R” loved to join his friends and family for the annual deer hunt, and of course there were his famous macaronis he made for all the guys. He was an avid lover of his cars he owned a 32 Roadster and his love, his Black Monte Carlo. Everyone that knew him loved his stories and his contagious laugh. He had a heart of gold and didn't hesitate to help anyone, no questions asked. Ricky and Roberta's home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay when they were in Phoenix, they helped so many friends and family that were in need.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Roberta, his two daughters Diana Marie (David), Amanda Sally (Santiago), 5 grandchildren, Andres, Mia, Bella, Adrian, Eliana, his father Gavin, brothers, Gaven (Buster), David (Debbie), sisters Eileen Bryan and Marlene Pacheco. He was preceded by a baby sister Eileen and his mother Sally Gallegos Martinez.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Hospice of the Valley.
Rosary will be at 9:00 am, Saturday August 22, 2015 with a Funeral Mass to follow, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 212 Arizona Street, Holbrook, Arizona. Reception to follow at the Family Center across the street from the church.
