Dick was born in Philadelphia, Pa on August 8, 1937. He graduated from Wildwood High School in 1955. He joined the U.S. Navy, and was Honorably Discharged. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona in March of 1958, where he lived until his death.
Dick was married to Joan Kelley on March 18, 1961 in Winterhaven, California. They were married for 57 years.
Dick worked as a Parts Counter Salesman until his retirement from Phoenix Motor Company in 1999. He enjoyed competitive shooting, World War II documentaries, and being “mean, ornery, and cantankerous.” He was also actively involved in Boy Scouts, Hunter Safety, Crusillo, and an active member at St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his sons; Rick and Joyce, Bill and Maria, as well as 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by Joan, his wife.
