Regina-Jo Alves, or Gina as everyone knew her, was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt, and friend to those who knew and loved her.
Born in Attleboro, MA, she moved to Albuquerque, NM with her parents as a young child, then moved to Phoenix, AZ with her family as a teenager where she lived the remainder of her life.
Gina had a great talent for music. She was multitalented; in marching band playing the flute, piccolo, and percussion. She was in the process of learning to play bass, electric, and even acoustic guitar. Her hard work and dedication with music would also play through to her hard work and dedication with her job that built great friendships with many of her coworkers and her dedication to her dog sitting business.
Her mother was always very proud of her for her many talents, hard work, and of being a big sister to Lisa.
Gina leaves behind her mother, Daris, sister Lisa, brother-in-law Steven, nephew Seth, nieces Giada and Brynnley, and Uncle Joseph. She is preceded in death by her father, Bradley Alves, both sets of grandparents, an Uncle, Raymond Thrailkill, and other family members.
We love you and miss you, Gina.
Gina preferred cremation with no services. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to https://www.thedakodaproject.org in Gina’s name. This would honor her great love for her dog Pebbles, all the doggos she doggy sat, and all the animals her nephew, and nieces foster. Thank you.
