Raymond Figueroa is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jenny Figueroa, daughter Linda Figueroa, son Anthony Figueroa, daughter-in-law Brenna Figueroa, grandchildren Lauren Leija (Fiancé CJ) Raymond Figueroa, Marcos Figueroa, Jeweliana Figueroa, Jennifer Leija and his only great-grandchild Layla Jules. He is preceded in death by his first born son Raymond Figueroa Jr., both his parents, Ramon and Maria Figueroa and so many other brothers, sisters, family members and friends.
Raymond Figueroa was born on January 5, 1945 in the beautiful mining town of Superior, Arizona to Ramon and Maria Figueroa. After the death of his father in 1948, he and his mother moved to the valley in 1955. Raymond met and began dating Jenny in 1959. They married 5 years later on January 29, 1964. They went on to have three children together. Immediately after high school, Raymond began working for The City of Phoenix. He worked as a Solid Waste Equipment Operator and retired after 33 years of service. Raymond lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors, being a constant jokester, spending quality time laughing with family and friends. He was the "life of the party", he always made everyone feel welcome and was a father figure to so many people, but most importantly; he loved his wife, kids and grandkids. He was the ultimate family-man, provider and would do anything for his family. He truly was THE BEST OF THE BEST!
Mass is scheduled for 11am on June 9, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish (909 E. Washington Street, Phx 85034).
The burial will follow at 12:30pm at Resthaven/ Carr-Tenney Mortuary and Memorial (4310 E. Southern Avenue, Phx 85042). Following the burial, the celebration of life will continue at the Casa Figueroa (6009 S. 6th Avenue, Phx 85041).
