To everyone that loved her she was known by Mona. Mona was born March 26th 1968, in Phoenix AZ to Benny A. Valenzuela SR and Esperanza Valenzuela. Mona was surrounded and loved by 5 brothers, from oldest to youngest Manuel, Elias, Benny JR, David and Daniel SR Valenzuela.
Mona has had many jobs thorough out her life but her most favorite would be that of a wife and mother and then Nana. Mona shares a loving and happy life with her husband Anthony Baker.
Mona leaves a long loving legacy in her children, oldest to youngest being Toni Labato, Johnny Gabriel Valenzuela, Bobby Pompa, Michelle Pompa, Michael Pompa, Mathew Pompa and the baby Serenity Baker. Mona also lovingly helped raise 3 step children Joe Lugo, Irma Baker and Josette Baker.
Mona loved being a grandma and her grandchildren were her world she will be missed by, Gabby Labato, Aubrey Labato, Khloe Pompa, Zhoie Pompa, Samual Labato and Uriah Pompa.
Mona was an amazing and generous soul. Anything you needed she was there, and sometimes things you didn’t need she was there. Mona lived her life selflessly and was the matriarch of her family. She was a mother to everyone she met. Her home was always open to anyone that needed a warm meal and a safe place to stay. She would give all she had to make sure others were taken care of. She was our angel on earth. Mona will be missed deeply and this world will never be the same without her. If I had to describe Mona to you in a few words it would be the quote by JM Storm.
“She is strong, but not in the ways most people think. She loved more than she’ll ever get back and she knows it. And yet, she loves anyway.”
