Ramon Benavides, 93 of Phoenix passed away on January 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Alicia (Alice), his children, Henry Benavides (Donna), Ray Benavides (Elsa), Terry Benavides, Sally Benavides, Gloria Swab (Jeff),his sister Consuelo Munoz, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ramon proudly served our country in the U. S. Navy during WWII and worked in various capacities with the APS Natural Gas Division for 35 years. After he retired, he spent many years enjoying one of his greatest passions as a horseman, caring for and training his own horses. He had a great love for his family, always putting their needs first and taking pride in their accomplishments. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8th from 10 to 11 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix. Services will follow at The Chapel at 11 AM.
