Petar was born and raised in Michigan and was an active member of St. Lazarus Serbian Orthodox Cathedral “Ravanica” where he served as an altar boy, played basketball on the church team, and attended Sunday school. Petar moved with his family to Arizona after high school. Petar is remembered and loved by all who knew him, having established lifelong friendships everywhere life took him.
Petar was extremely intelligent, and had an entrepreneurial spirt, being self-employed most of his life. Petar took pride in his work, and quickly mastered whatever skills necessary to complete the current job. Petar was loyal, hardworking, charismatic, and charming, qualities that are rare to find all in one person, yet he was also humble and kind, never forgetting where he came from.
Petar loved his family and friends and was always willing to help out. Petar was a devoted son and helped to care for his mother for the past year and a half. Petar was very close to his mother and cherished his relationship with her. Petar was a great brother, never failing to answer a call for help from any of his siblings, and always willing to help out with any household projects no matter how big or small. Petar could be stubborn, but he was always willing to listen to advice from his Ciko Zdravko. Petar had a beautiful soul and spirit and will be greatly missed.
Petar is survived by his mother, Nada; his siblings, Slavko (Karen), Marija, and Tomo; his nieces and nephews, Cortney, Stevan, James, Avree, Auna, and Aubriella; his uncle, Zdravko; and many beloved cousins, Kumovi, and friends. Petar was preceded in death by his brother, Ratko, his niece, Amanda, and his aunt, Susan.
