Paul Douglas Holland passed away too soon but peacefully on January 22, 2019 at his Tempe Arizona home following an almost 18 month struggle with brain cancer (glioblastoma). Otherwise in good health, his 64 years were well lived.
Recently preceded in death by his father, James, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy, wife, Denise, son Seth (Marnelli), brothers, Dale (Linda) and Scott (Sandra) and grandchildren, Christian, Alexander and Bella.
Born in Fargo, North Dakota, he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in Architecture from North Dakota State University. Relocating to Arizona early in his career, he worked with a dedication as a long-time employee and then a partner at the Gilbert firm of HDA Architects, LLC, designing numerous public and private school buildings and other notable projects in the Phoenix area.
He loved to hike and spent many Saturday mornings over the past five years exploring the deserts, mountains and canyons of Arizona. Loved and admired by his friends and family for his kind disposition, positive outlook and ever-cheery temperament, he will be sorely missed.
