Paul, the third of five children was born on September 26, 1933, to John Paul and Delana Grubbs in Harlan County, Kentucky. In his earlier years , he was raised on a farm with chickens and cattle's and a stream in front of the house. He went on to serve in the Navy in 1952. For over 35 years, he worked as a sheet metal at Myers and Leber, Cayon Sign & Graphic and Bootzs and Duke signing company.
For most of his life, Paul was a man of the "simple pleasure" (cornbread, coffee hot dogs and peanut butter and jelly sandwich.). Paul stops eating chicken after the family farm caught on fire.
Paul was predeceased by wife Phyllis (Carel) Grubbs and Father John Paul Grubbs, and Mother Delana (Price) Grubbs. sister Nellie Grubbs and sister Freddia Grubbs.
He is survived by children Candy Schwab, David Grubbs, Gloria Erhardt and William Grubbs.
He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
As mentioned, Paul is the third of five children. He leaves two siblings, Olin Grubbs and Peggy Grubbs.
