Patrick, I remember the first time we met. You were playing guitar on the corner of Mill Ave. and 5th St. in Tempe, Arizona in front of Starbucks- it was the evening then around 7:30pm. That was the exact day you became one of my best friends. Immediately we had a connection and the glue was music. We started jamming and going on wild, random adventures, listening to surf rock music in your car. haha. You would come over to my house in Tempe, and we would listen to all sorts of records, reminiscing about our favorite artists from the 60s and 70s. You helped me move my things to a new home a couple of times- Your car was packed to the brim! I am grateful for this. My friend, you are deeply missed. I am so happy we shared the stage countless times in our band, The Swarthy Pirates/Bloody Rogue Bastards. You are the tin whistle King. haha. My favorite times with you include the shows and the get togethers our friends and the community would indulge in on our favorite holidays- St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, Christmas, and New Years. Your house parties were always filled with incredible jam sessions, good food, excellent beer, and amazing memories. I loved every moment. I am blessed to have been your friend in this life, and my only regret is not hanging out with you and jamming enough. I miss you Patrick, and I cannot wait to hang out with your amazing eternal soul again. I hope you are up there in heaven playing your best instruments such as the accordion, tin whistle, piano, drums, guitar- all for God, his glory, and all of the angels. God Bless You, Brother. The consummate conversationalist, observationist and wordsmithinonist. We see Patrick holding his disdain for neoclassical post-modern art. 

Patrick was doing his Otho impression and I was furious the photographer wasn’t appreciating the genius of this moment. True genius is rarely recognized. We did not attend weight watchers that evening. 

Here’s Patrick volunteering his time to help a poor boy with Down syndrome realize his dream of playing on stage. Always selfless, Patrick helped ensure the pony keg was as light as possible for transport.  He may not have been wearing pants at the time which was the style of that era. 

This guy has the most amazing woman. She bought us tickets to a punk rock show and we managed to not get thrown out. Proving we understood the value of a dollar.  He’s the one wearing the hat. 

I think he’s holding chicken. It could be soup. It might be soup. I think it’s soup. 

Spoiler: I was thrown out and asked to never return.  We did not attend weight watchers that evening. 

Just a random decision to eat around the corner that turned into a walk in the rain with a lucky eejit. 

It was a live photo and when it played I was saying, “ this is my buddy.”… He’s the one on the right… In the red. 

Patrick taught me a new song on keyboard and we played it together for a while. He inspires me to be a better musician, I want to be as good as him one day. He always told me that if anyone hurt me that he'd kick their asses and I believe him. He's the coolest uncle ever, I miss him. 

This was taken at Morgan’s bluff practice on 9/11/22. It was the last time I saw Patrick. He hugged me every time he saw me, and we laughed together so much. Loud, bellowing laughter; the kind that leaves your stomach feeling sore. He was a beautiful soul. I’ll miss him dearly. 

I'll always remember your thoughtfulness and kindness.  You were consoling and considerate when my family was in need.  You have a heart of gold. One that my family and i will always remember.  

Your laugh and smile was the best part of hanging with you. 

You will be missed. 

Patrick was always a joy to be around through his laughter and music he made us all laugh and smile. He was always there in a time in need for all his friends. I remember several times he helped me with a flat tire and he made sure I was home safe. I will always keep his kind heart alive though his memories ❣️

I met Patrick and Melissa 5-6 years ago and immediately Patrick welcomed me as not just an acquaintance but a friend.   His big giant beautiful smile always made me feel so welcome no matter where we saw each other. Had had a heart bigger than him. 
We texted funny things back and forth most recently we were texting about him riding his bike to work. I admired him for that and all of the positive things he was doing in his life. He was  encouraging me to ride my bikes I told him wanted to because of last years broken ankle.  I was afraid to. 
He said “I know  people think I look funny on this bike”. I replied back no you don’t you look healthy happy and beautiful. 
I will always be here for Melissa he loved her so much and that’s what Patrick would want.  He was truly unique a shining  star. 

Patrick was such a light hearted soul in every interaction I ever had with him.  He told me he crashed my 40th birthday party ~ but that was actually just another GIFT :)

I’m so glad I got to know Patrick. His kindness and his music will be remembered forever!

We only new Patrick for a brief period of time but are blessed to have met him and played a show with him. Nice guy, talented dude. He will be missed.

He came into my life as a fellow musician and band mate but soon became a great friend. A big man with a big personality and a big heart, he leaves a big hole in my life. You will be missed every day, Patrick. 

Rest in Peace, Patrick. I will never forget any time I saw you; you had the biggest smile on your face and lit up the room.

Patrick was always so happy anytime I saw him, I could talk to him forever if I time allowed. I do wish I had more time with him though. It's because of the Morgans bluff family that we connected and I know I speak for all of us when I say we are all going to miss his shining smile and beautiful, talented soul. 


Though we are saddened by our friend gone too soon, his song lives on in our hearts.  Remember his smile and time spent together, shared memories of joy, music, and laughter. With deepest sympathy and condolences. Patrick will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
