Patricia Marilyn Zubieni

Patricia Marilyn Zubieni passed away in Chandler, Arizona, December 19, 2023. Pat was the last survivor of her generation, having been preceded in death by her parents, Caesar and Nevaline Zubieni, sister, Eloise Worthen Klem and brothers, Eugene and Arthur.

Pat was born in Maywood, Illinois February 4, 1936. The Zubieni family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1950 where Pat attended Phoenix Union High School and graduated in 1953. After graduating, Pat went to work for Salt River Project until she retired.

Aunt Pat loved and was loved by her nieces and nephews. Surviving family members include Janet Zubieni, sister-in-law of Aurora Colorado, and nieces Sharri Fitzpatrick of Sun Lakes, Arizona and Terri Deweese of San Jose, California. Surviving nephews are Michael Zubieni of Aurora, Colorado and David Worthen of Phoenix, Arizona, along with six grandnieces, three grandnephews, two great grandnieces and one great grandnephew.

After retiring, Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and best friend Mary, taking classes at Scottsdale Senior Center, shopping, reading and traveling. She visited Thailand, Russia, South Africa, Canada, Vietnam and many destinations in the United States.

A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 7655 E Main St., in Scottsdale at 10:00 a.m. on January 5, 2024 with interment to follow at 12:00 noon at East Resthaven Cemetery, 4310 E Southern Ave. in Phoenix.
