Orlando Ray Ortega

Our loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, 43 born November 5, 1969 passed away April 1, 2013 in Mesa Az. Orlando was born and raised in Phoenix Az he attended Annott Elementary and graduated from St Mary's Catholic high-school in 1986. Orlando started working at Food City in 1985 then went on to work at Motorolla in 1990, where he then went on to work at Arrow Electronics (Wyle) in 1995 he was there for 18 years alongside of his extended 2nd family. "O" was a great person he has a huge heart and a big cheesy contagious smile he was always helping any and every one with whatever he could, he loved making mix cd's for everyone and spending time with his friends and family having coffee, going out to eat or just hanging out. "O" was very spiritual he knew and had God in his heart, he was part of a prayer group. He was a great son always taking care of his mom Eloisa and spending as much time with her taking her out to eat, his dad Ray was always taking care of him helping him out and making all of his favorite foods for him. His niece Alliyah was his pride and joy he loved to spend time with her and enjoyed being one of her biggest fans watching her play softball he always cheered for her and her PH teammates. "O" loved to go back and forth with his younger brother JD quoting their favorite movies. He loved spending time with his girlfriend Angelica "Lica" and her daughter Erica. "O" was Die Hard Raiders Fan DHR, he was a Diamond backs fan and never missed an opening day game. He loved Gino's pizza, Peter Piper Pizza and Pete's fish n chips. "O" will be missed by so many loved ones and extended family aka friends. He is preceded in death by Elvira Garza, Estella Guajardo, Socorro Castillo, and Irene Ortega. He is survived by his mom Eloisa Garza, his dad Ray Ortega (Rosa), his brother James Ortega (Anita), his niece Alliyah Ortega. Visitation Tuesday April 9th, 2013 at Resthaven Mortuary 5:00pm - 8:00pm 4310 E Southern Ave Phx Az 85042. Funeral Service, Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church 1421 S. 12th St Phx, AZ 85034. His final resting place will be at Resthaven Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix, Az 85042.
