Noel was born on June 12 1935 in Blair, Nebraska to Nora and Abigail Williamson. His family moved to California and then Arizona where he attended Casa Grande High School.
In 1953, Noel married Joyce Murdock of Ajo, Arizona and the couple moved to Phoenix. Noel and Joyce raised four wonderful children: Donna, Joel, Tim, and Rick. Noel was later blessed with six loving grandchildren: Dustin, Adam, Ricky, JJ, Joy, and Jared, plus two beautiful great-granddaughters, Ella and Brynn.
Noel founded his own successful company, Frontier Drywall, in 1984. Noel and Joyce worked side by side to run Frontier Drywall for 29 years before retiring in 2003.
Noel’s gregarious nature was infectious. His quick-witted humor and charm allowed him to carry a conversation with anyone. He loved spending time with family and friends, relaxing at his cabin in Forest Lakes, and outdoor activities like water skiing and dune buggies.
Noel played a large role in the lives of his grandchildren. His smiling face was a fixture at every birthday party, sporting event, graduation, and other milestone.
Noel will be missed dearly, but his memory will never be forgotten among all the many people who loved him so much. He is survived by his siblings Nona, Betty, Linda and Tom, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joann and wife Joyce.
A memorial service will be held at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens (4310 E Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042) on August 7 at 10:00am.
