Nelson Leon Perry, 79, was born on November 1, 1932 and passed away at his home in Lakeside, Arizona on June 21, 2012. Mr. Perry proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force after which, he worked as a truck driver for many years before he retired. He loved watching NASCAR racing and other sports.
He is survived by his wife, Shelmerdene A. Perry of Lakeside, Az; daughters, Nedra Carter (Gary), Sue Jaquez (Vic), Kolby Dalton (Debbie), Trudy Arenas, Ann Wilhelm (Jeff), sons Terry Leckbee (Elsa), Calvin Leckbee Jr., Randy Leckbee, Randy Perry (Missy), 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Talmadge, Ray, Edward and Bill Perry, sister, Gladys Whitfield and his parents, Calvin and Flora Perry.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27th at 9:00 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix. Funeral services will follow at the Chapel at 10:00 AM.
