Nancy Ann Clark was born in the mining town of Jerome, Arizona on April 26th 1939. Her mother, Darlene had 6 children.The oldest was Carole, then Nancy followed by Jerry, Bill, Brad and Debbie. Nancy lived in Cottonwood, Holbrook, Williams and Phoenix Az. Nancy attended and graduated from Washington High School in Phoenix, AZ in 1957. While in high school she met her husband Tom who was a college accountant student at Arizona State College, which would later become Arizona State University. The summer after their graduations in 1957, they were married and moved to Monrovia, California as Tom had obtained a job with the Internal Revenue Service. David was born the following Spring, followed by Brian the next Spring. With two young boys to care for Nancy was a very busy housewife.
Tom's career with the IRS took them to several cities in Southern California. They moved to La Puente where Craig was born in 1963 and also lived El Cajon, Lakeside and Claremont. With three busy boys, Nancy was busy with their activities which included school activities, Cub Scouts, baseball, basketball and more. She and Tom made several life time friends during their years in California. They enjoyed going to Arizona with the kids to visit Grandparents and family.
In 1974, Tom was transferred to Arizona where they built a beautiful home in Moon Valley. Their family grew with Grandchildren, starting with Jace followed by Chad and Logan, then Paul and Cherish, Danielle and Cory. Many years later, along came Joseph. With 8 busy grandchildren, Tom and Nancy enjoyed attending sports, school and musical events of the grandkids.
Nancy loved being a mom! She also loved to cook, bake, and play cards. She especially enjoyed holidays and celebrations. She did all holidays BIG. Christmas was always festive and her home was always decorated extensively. All birthdays and anniversaries were remembered with cards and presents. She loved playing cards and had many bridge groups and friends throughout the years. One of her favorite things was an electronic bridge game that she played constantly. She was an avid gardener, growing amazing roses in her yard with extensive knowledge of plants, trees and flowers. Tom and Nancy loved to travel, with extensive trips to San Francisco, Munds Park, and beach homes along the Pacific coast in Southern California. She loved to watch the Diamondbacks play in person and on television. She was an amazing crafter and decorator. She and Tom were married for 62 years. She will be missed by her family and will be remembered with good thoughts of fun times at the beach, great food, card games and laughter.
