yesterday was a hard day! I put your flag in its rightful place and our pictures. its been 2 whole weeks, seems like months! things are coming together but its taking its time. miss you deeply, you were my soul mate for sure love ya, Janie

it has been a week since we said good-by. it is harder than I expected, almost impossible to continue each day, the tears do not stop, I am trying but it is not easy.I see you and hear you everywhere, mentally is the hardest, I will make it but its not an easy task, I need you here my rock! miss you always your wife

I cannot begin to thank all for the help! the ministers, staff from Greenwood, Lamont in Globe, Thema Hospice,  it was a long ride. the ending was beautiful, he is at peace, free from pain, all who showed up for the funeral and pallbearers, honor guard, etc I was in a fog, just unreal too me, then when the honor guard blew the taps it was chilling, he so deserved it I miss him more each day, we have been together for 35 yrs, not easy to forget, he went so peaceful here at home with myself and Terri by his side, he is pain free and watching over us now!  miss you babe, love your wife Janie

While we haven't seen each other for many years I fondly recall when I first started with ADOT in '67 and you, Curt and Mitch took me under your collective wings to teach me how to be a programmer. The late night runs to Pete's Fish and Chips having to sneak out the basement windows of the old MVD building. And you and the guys from Photgrammetry scheming to use the ADOT plane to scout your hunting trips. And of course the trips to the priaon to teach inmates our humble programming skills. Your service today I'm sure was as you would have liked - simple and with your four wheeler friends. I trust I'll have as nice a remembrance. God speed and thanks for allowing me to be a small part of your life.

Miles Brown July 10, 1930  September 10, 2015 was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. He came from a long line of native Arizonians including his mother Blanch Champion and Father Lionel Brown and Brother Joel Brown all who he will now be joining in Heaven. He attended Phoenix Adventist Academy and Thunderbird Adventist Academy as well as Phoenix College. He then joined the Army serving in Korea as a dental assistant in a Korean POW camp during the Korean conflict. He later joined the Arizona Highways Department and ADOT where he retired after over 25 years of employment. He's a founding member of the Phoenix 4 Wheelers, Endowment Member of the NRA, and a Life Member of the Arizona Bighorn Sheep Society. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent much of his life hunting, fishing, and 4 Wheeling. He spent many hours restoring classic Toyota Land Cruisers a hobby he was much proud of. He loved the outdoors and although he hunted and fished he also spent a great deal of his time and money in conservations efforts. Some of the activities include participating in projects such as maintaining and improving Arizona's wild spaces such as wildlife reservoirs and other areas of Arizona's wildlife habitats. He loved nature and his beloved Arizona. Miles is survived by his wife Jane Brown, children Errol Brown, Gregory Brown, and Terri Brown, his grandchildren Erica, Cynthia, Nicole, Ryan, and Jacob along with several great grandchildren, and many, many friends. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed.

I sure miss you! through good and bad we always had each other! now god had different plans and has left me without you! I pray you are watching over me, my new guardian angel. missing you always, your wife Janie

Being your niece was such a blessing. Spending the time with you that me and my youngest (Stephen ) spent was so memorable. I loved hearing all the stories of our family,  of you and my Dad. You will be missed very much. Your in God's hands now. Love you Uncle Miles.
