Mildred L. Bailey of Glendale, AZ, born June 6th, 1926, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her parents Otis L. and Opal R. Cook, and her oldest sister Marjorie F. Smith. Survivors include her husband, Clyde J. Bailey, and one sister Shirley M. Holly, son Clifford L. Bailey (Cynthia) of Phoenix, AZ, daughters Deborah S. Hallahan (Timothy) of Peoria, AZ, and Shelley R. Guthrie (Rick) of Peoria, AZ, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a native of Peoria, and graduated from Peoria High School in 1944. Mildred lived her life as a Peoria farmer’s daughter and wife. She was very artistic as she loved making porcelain dolls, sewing, and playing cards with her friends, and enjoying her time in Munds Park. She was also an early member contributor to the Peoria Historical Society. She was greatly loved by her family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 9:00am with funeral service at 10:00am at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave in Phoenix.
