I am so sorry for the loss of Mike. He was a brother I flew with in Vietnam on Medevac rescue/recovery missions. He flew many times into heavy enemy fire fearlessly as the crew chief/gunner to save one more life. Mike is a very good friend from that time and I spent many hours with him on flight missions and just sitting around talking at night. Mike flew LOH helicopters before Medevac in hunter killer teams. We had a rhesus monkey named Charlie. Mike pulled him out of a jungle tree during a LOH mission and Charlie became one of our mascots. I could always count on Mike to watch my back during tuff times. He will be missed. 

Dave Parks here.  I flew with Mike from OCT 10th 69 to around the end of Dec25 69 .  Then I quit flying after last shoot .  So after that didn't have a lot of contact with him . He was and  always will be a very special friend  !  So sorry for your loss . Our condolences.  

I was numb when Cody called and informed me that Michael had passed. I have worked with Michael on various projects for more than 40 years.  He was easy to work with and talk and visit with. I called him many times for electrical information and other times to just talk. We both liked Corvettes. That was an easy subject to talk about.  He loved his family and was devoted to them.  
I miss Michael. 

Michael, was a younger brother to me as I grew up with him. 

His mother Rose was my mother’s good friend so there is much history with our families. 

I was also present at his wedding when he married his love, Jeannee. She was his dream love and you may ask how I know that, it is because I drive with him from Southern California, to the Fort Bragg, North Carolina area, to meet her and he never stopped talking about her. After I met her, I understood why. 

I also had the pleasure of driving them back to California and I felt like I was chauffeur driving them over the hills and byways of the United States. 

Mike served his country Honorably in Vietnam, while in the U. S. Army. He was part of a helicopter flight crew and survived some very dangerous times. 

I am honored and blessed to call Mike my brother as I know that I will see him again since he knew the Lord as his personal Savior  
and is with Him now. 



Michael was also blessed with his wife Jeannee and his son’s, Zack and Cody along with their wives and grandchildren. 

Adele and I share our grief but also our joy in knowing that he is at peace with his God

I fondly reflect on my friendship and business relations I experienced with Mike for nearly 20 years.  His presence and involvement with many construction projects requiring electrical work was comforting  and reassuring with him connected to the project.  He was a patient teacher, resource and overall supporter of my success.  I thank Mike for the guidance, trust and the eternal quest to do things right.  I'm grateful for his time in my life.  --Todd Knape
