Mike "Hirsch" passed away the morning of Friday, September 22nd. He had so many little and big adventures planned with his family and friends, sadly those adventures are not to be. Recently he had a mishap on a ladder. As he tells it he took the "express route". This resulted in a broken foot which ushered in a blood clot, that rushed him onto the next adventure. We may not be able to follow where he travels today, but we can celebrate the wonderful man he was ... is. He is the love of my life and will be missed. His steady support, to his unrelenting memes, he knew how to be a friend, father, grandfather and husband.
He is survived by too many people to list including close family, found family and friends. He touched many lives and hearts. There are no words to adequately describe how his loss impacts all of them.
As many know, Mike was a "Medicated American". He wasn't shy about sharing the issues that come with that and the power that help can bring. What people may not know is that he tried to break down the stigma that went with it. He often was upset with outdated policies that did little to alleviate the issue they were trying to solve.
