Melody Lee Baker passed away in Phoenix on July 7, 2015 with family by her side. She was born May 29, 1954 in Tulsa Oklahoma to John and Anne Johnson.
Melody graduated from Maryvale High School in 1972 and attended Glendale Community College. She married Thomas Paul Baker in 1974 and had two children together, Carey and Todd.
She became a respected environmental activist and was a member of Hope Baptist Church and later attended North Phoenix Baptist.
Melody is preceded in death by her husband and father. She is survived by her mother; both of her children; two grandchildren, Caleb and Tristan Baker; three sisters, Sherri Roberts, Deborah Colbert, Johna Johnson; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
