Maxine Herman was born on May 1, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away
surrounded by loved ones, on March 14, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. Services honoring her life will take place at a later date. Maxine loved playing cards and going to the Casino’s. She was a Teletype Operator for Merrill Lynch and worked for The Arizona State Law Library. Then, she met the love of her life, Marvin Robert Herman, to whom she was united in
marriage on July 16, 1967 at Colonial Mansions in Brooklyn. Survivors include her Daughter Leigh (Joe) Kirby, Granddaughters Galynne (Alex) Mastorakos and Jolee (Trenton) Kettinger, along with Josh Hogan; two Great-Granddaughters Lena and Delilah Hogan, brother Alan (Donna) Fox, Samantha Fox (Josh) Hollander, Evan (Lauren) Fox and Allison Fox, and one cousin Barbara Feinstein, as well as many of those who were touched by her eternal light. Known as Mac, Mom and Nanny, she will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
