Maximilian Anthony Utley

It is with shock and sorrow that we inform everyone of the tragic death of Maximilian Anthony Utley of Mesa, on November 25, 2022. His brother Dylan is devastated by the unimaginable loss so soon after their mother’s death on November 1st.

At just 22 years old, Max was able to make quite the impact on those around him. With a wealth of knowledge, he would undoubtedly hold his own in conversations with the greatest of thinkers. The way he spoke of the world matched that of his Uncle Ron, our traveler of time and space. We are hoping that he reached the stars that he always longed to go to and that he is in his mother's arms. He'll always to be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and vast expertise of so many subjects.

In addition to his brother, Dylan (Maddie) of UT, Max is survived by his father Michael Utley of AZ, grandmother Alice Garner Utley and family of NV, grandmother Kathy Stryski of AZ, aunt Sheri (Steve) Gulenchyn and family of MN, aunt Staci Stryski of AZ, family in MN, and many friends especially Amber and Bre. Max is preceded in death by his mother, Tammi Utley, uncle Ron Strzyzewski, and grandfather Ron Stryski.

Max’s family is planning a gathering to say our goodbyes. Everyone is welcome. Please stop by his aunt Staci’s home at 6118 N 12th Place, unit 9, Phoenix 85014 from 2 p.m. - 7p.m. on Saturday, December 10th.
