Boswell and the medical world were a much better place with Barb in it. She was on committee's and project's where I believe she could answer any question and usually led the team. Positive person with a zest for life and admiration for those who worked with her. Gone to soon Barb way to soon. Condolences to they family and all who had the pleasure to work with such an awesome lady. She will be greatly missed.

It was a pleasure to work with Barbara at Boswell. I will never forget our locker room discussions,  while dressing out for work. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Gone too soon.  RIP Barbara!  We will always remember your bright smile, and welcoming nature.  Our deepest sympathy, love, and prayers to all the Higgins family.

My thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a hope for our love ones lost in death can be reassuring. 

I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Barb at Boswell for 8 years.  She welcomed me to my new O.R. Team.  She was so impressive in that she knew the answer to any O.R. question, or where to find it.  Barb always had her door open and revolving.  We knew we could talk to her about policy, procedures, vacation time, or just sit and cry.  I respected this woman so much and eventually worked with her in different committees and project settings.  Her ethics were beyond reproach and the world was a better place with her in it.  I take comfort in knowing that she probably is in charge of all policy and ethic groups in Heaven.  May God Bless all of her family and friends who grieve her loss and may Christ's Peace be with Barb forevermore.  In Jesus' name we pray.

Barbara was an awesome nurse, manager, and mentor. She always had that smile and big, bright, beautiful blue eyes that looked at you with a calm demeanor despite the chaos around. God love you, Bless you and may He have welcomed you with open arms and a surgery schedule that was never late and fully staffed!

I began working with Barb when I first came to Boswell Hospital in 1973. She was a private scrub for a general surgeon at that time. I left Boswell when my daughter became very ill but returned in 1983. At that time Barb was assistant director of the OR. I never met a more organized person in my life or someone that could multi-task with greater efficiency. She was a dear lady that showed loving compassion and strength when needed.  Her passing is a great loss to everyone that knew her.
