Mary Louise Clark, age 76, of Phoenix, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born on June 23, 1940 to the late John and Helen Stellmack in Cleveland, OH. Mary worked as a caregiver for numerous years. On June 7, 1957 she married Jessie Denver Clark in Conneaut, OH. She was a very active member of St. Stephen’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed planting gardens, gambling, pinochle, traveling, scrabble, shopping, and spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was very excited to be a great grandmother. She was a real lover of life. Mary is survived by her loving children, Cathy (Mark) Cumbee and Ron Clark; a brother, John “Jake” Stellmack; five grandchildren, Nicole (Norm) Reitz, Clarke Cumbee, and Cambra, Parker, and Chloe Clark; a soon expected great granddaughter, Emma Jene Reitz; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie D. Clark on August 18, 2012; two sisters, Martha “Marty” McCarthy, and Dorothy “Dot” Danko. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at 7:00 pm at St. Stephen's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, 8141 N. 16th Street, Phoenix. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24 at St. Stephen's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral followed by a committal service at 12:30 pm at National Memorial Cemetery of AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s honor may be made the American Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of Shadow Mountain Mortuary, Phoenix, AZ.
