Mary Joan Chambers

Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on July 30, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 p.m. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin.

Mary was born to LaVern and Geraldine (Johnson) Rickey in Waukegan, Illinois on July 20, 1942. She met and married her first husband Thomas Petersen. She moved to Wisconsin in the mid 60's where she raised her daughters in Lyndon Station and surrounding area. Here, she met and married her second husband, Marvin Chambers.

In recent years, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be near her youngest daughter who was of great comfort during her battle with endometrial cancer. Mary was very artistic and found a creative outlet in sewing, crocheting, painting and many other craft activities. She was very quiet but cared deeply for her friends and family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include daughters, Dawn (Howard) Larsen of Rock Springs, WI; Pam (David) Getschman of Baraboo, WI; Debra Schneiderwind of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren, Anastaisia Larsen of Middleton, WI; Benjamin Larsen of Waupun, WI; Skyler Getschman of Baraboo, WI; Rachel Getschman of Plover, WI; great-grandchild, Oliver Larsen of Waupun, WI; stepchildren, Don (Kaye) Chambers of Mauston, WI; Connie (Bob) Burns of Mauston, WI; Glen (Tonia) Chambers of Wisconsin Dells, WI and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Mary is also survived by her siblings; Leonard Rickey of California; Julie (Don) German of Richland Center, WI; Joyce Giernoth of Round Lake Park, Il; Ellie (Jerry) Carnell of Kennett, MO; Judi (John) Jurkovac of Oregon; Paul Rickey of Baraboo, WI; Janis (Harold) King of Washington; April Seace of California, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Thomas Petersen in 1984; second husband, Marvin Chambers of Lyndon Station in 2000; granddaughter, Kahla Getschman; great-granddaughter Kyia Benhke and step-grandson, Daniel Chambers.
