Marlene Wells

She was born in Chandler on March 13, 1931. She was number 10 of 11 children born to Louis and Pearl Stewart. She grew up in Phoenix and attended Monroe Elementary School and Phoenix Union High School.

In 1949, she met and married Robert (Bud) Wells. They led a happy and productive life and were active in boat racing, snow skiing, golfing, travelling and more. Marlene had a long and successful career at Motorola. After Motorola, she helped her husband to establish their construction company.

They retired in Pine Top, AZ and lived there for many years. She is the mother to Robert Wells II and Rebecca Boat. She has 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2006. She moved back to Mesa in 2015.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be sent to the ASPCA.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, December 2 at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary Chapel at 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, 85009.
