A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 5 at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church, 5800 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road, Anaheim, CA 92807. A reception will follow immediately after the service in the church hall.
Mark was born October 16, 1947 in Bellflower, CA to Mike Litzinger (deceased) and Leona Litzinger. He was the oldest of four boys. After graduating high school Mark made the decision to go into the Navy, where he served his country on the USS Segundo as a radioman, stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. After serving his country, he then became a police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department in 1972, where he protected and served the people of Los Angeles for 25 years. During his time as a police officer he also worked for country singer Kenny Rogers and 20th Century Fox owner Marvin Davis to name a few.
Mark was an avid lover of the water, he would spend many weekends on the river with his family and friends, water-skiing and just relaxing on his Rogers Ski Boat. He taught his three oldest children, Michael, Debra and Stephen how to ski and how to enjoy and appreciate the simple things when it came to camping on the river.
Mark is survived by his loving mother, Leona Litzinger, three brothers, Joseph Litzinger, John Litzinger and Paul Litzinger, his children, Michael Litzinger, Deborah Litzinger-Windsor, Stephen Litzinger, Marissa Resnick, Sara Litzinger and Jeremy Litzinger; his grandchildren, Andrew Windsor, Ethan Windsor and Gavin Litzinger; great-grand child Anthony Windsor
