Mark Dwayne Cecil, 54, went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2012. Mark was born in Phoenix on January 15, 1958 to Ray and Edith Cecil. He lived in Phoenix all of his life and attended East High School and Arizona State. Always entrepreneurial, Mark worked hard at whatever he did, rising to managerial positions in several companies. He worked at Walgreens, Crispys Potato Chips, and ARCO before becoming employed at Party City in 1998. At the time of his passing, he was Regional Manager for Party City. Mark had a gift for “wheeling and dealing” and loved to negotiate a bargain, buying and selling cars and pursuing real estate ventures. An avid reader and a positive thinker, Mark strove to become his personal best, utilizing his God-given talents and abilities. Mark loved his family and always sought to provide for them. He was thoughtful and generous in all his ways. Mark is survived by his three children, Brandon Cecil (Nancy), Tara Avina (Bobby) and Danielle Cecil (Justin), grandchildren, Kinsey Cecil, Hayden and Hunter Avina and Sadie Cecil. Additional survivors are brothers, Darrell (Jennifer) and Mike, and numerous extended family members. Mark will be missed by those who loved him but will always remain with us in our hearts. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11 from 10 to 11 AM at Greenwood Mortuary Chapel, 719 N 27th Ave., Phoenix. Funeral services will follow at Greenwood Chapel at 11 AM. Burial will be at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
