Maria Garcia was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on July 9,1949. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated highschool in 1968. She received an associates degree from DeVry University. She then worked for a law firm in Chicago before moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1984 with her parents, where she worked briefly for a major retail store before starting a new career at Travelers Insurance as a claims adjuster. She then worked for a local medical office before retiring. Maria was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda, her father, Daniel and her mother, Leticia. She is survived by her 3 brothers Felix, Edwin, Fred & her cousin, Hector; whom she considered her brother. She also leaves behind many nieces & nephews. Maria attended church at Living Streams of Phoenix for 30 years, where she volunteered in the kitchen. She loved the Lord with all her heart.
