Manuel A Moreno

Moreno and Josephina (Enciso) Moreno. Manuel served as an altar boy at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, and graduated from St. Mary’s High School, where he played baseball. On May 11, 1957 he was united in marriage to Rosalee (Duarte) Moreno; both served as Eucharistic Ministers at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Manuel proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves, receiving his honorable discharge on November 5, 1958. Manuel lived in Phoenix, Arizona, and was employed at Ora B. Hopper Construction for over 30 years and was a member of the Labors Union local 383, and finished his career working for the Phoenix Union High School District. Manuel is survived by his five children: Mike Moreno (fiancé Irene), Carol Molinar (husband Danny), Manuel Moreno Jr., Greg Moreno (wife Dawn), & Robert Moreno. He is also survived by his fourteen beloved grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family members who loved him dearly. Manuel is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Rosalee (Rosie), his parents Manuel & Josephina, two sisters Stella and Laura, and two brothers Gilbert & Raymond.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11 am at Resthaven Carr-Tenney . Burial will proceed at Resthaven Cemetery, 4310 East Southern Ave., Phoenix, Arizona, 85042.
