Lyle Marvin Frederickson went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born in a farmhouse 11 miles from Sioux Falls, SD to Lewis and Ella Frederickson and graduated from Lyons High School in Lyons, SD. He served honorably in the U.S. Army on assignment with AEC from 1946 to 1948. In 1951 he met the love of his life, Lil Yesda, and they were married on June 15, 1952 and enjoyed over 65 years together. He provided for his family with careers in farming, heavy-duty mechanic (Caterpillar), and building superintendent. He enjoyed participating in his children’s sports activities, home construction projects, church membership and was involved in various projects at their church, and he enjoyed hunting deer and elk near their cabin in Northern Arizona. There was no finer husband or father, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Lyle is survived by his beloved wife, Lil, his children Lyle D. Frederickson (Jane), Cheryl Barnett (Mike), Jay Frederickson (Kelli), and Travis Frederickson (Sheryl), his grandchildren Josiah Barnett (Allison), Joshua Barnett (Desiree), Kasey Huhta (Brian), Logan Frederickson (Katelyn), Julia Frederickson, and Katie Frederickson, and his great-grandchildren Emma Barnett, Samantha Huhta, Savannah Huhta, Jocelyn Frederickson, Delaney Frederickson, Clay Frederickson, Taisen Frederickson, and Aiden Frederickson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his great-grandson Max Barnett.
On Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. a memorial service will be held at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church located at 39808 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem, AZ 85086. A Military graveside service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona located at 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017.
