Lydia Belle Hammond Thompson died on March 15th, 2022, at 98 surrounded by her daughters and granddaughter. She was born December 15th 1923 in Portland Oregon and enjoyed her last decades in Sun City West AZ. She was proceeded in death by her husband Erling Thompson and her brother Leonard.
Lydia loved all her family and is survived by her daughters Nancy McAfee and Vicki Couturier, her four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was known for being a strong, hard-working woman with a quick wit and a green thumb. She was a wonderful cook and hostess who enjoyed sharing her love with delicious meals and holiday gatherings. She loved nature, particularly beautiful gardens and birds.
