Louis Ong

85, of Glendale Arizona, passed away on February 28, 2012. He was born October 7, 1926, in Canton, China. Immigrated and settled in Phoenix in May 1949. His parents and he started what eventually became New Valley Market and Liquors in 1951. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A sports fan, he loved traveling with his wife and friends, playing cards at the casinos and mahjong with friends and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Katie Ong, five children, Brenton Yee (and wife Georgia), Gordon Yee, Stephanie Yee (and husband David), Marshall Yee, and Belinda Williams (and husband Chuck), and six grandchildren (Megan, Brandon, Emily, Brittany, Kaleigh, and Taylor). Visitation will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 9:00 am; and followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am at Greenwood Memory Lawn in the Serenity Chapel, 719 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
