Lorraine V. Parsons was a devoted wife of 52 years to her late husband Charles Parsons, a loving mother to Charles Jr and Sandra, a loving grandmother to Christopher, Emily, and Allyson and a loving great-grandmother to Sophia. She was also survived by her sister Mary Agnes. Mom you have been our inspiration, our guiding light, and our pillar of strength during the tough and challenging times we have faced over the years. You have always been there to support us during our individual hours of need, consoling and comforting us, as only a truly devoted mother and grandmother can do.
You will forever be in our hearts and our thoughts as we continue on our individual journeys through life without the comfort and assurance of your daily presence in our lives. But at the same time we will also know that you are always close at hand in the form of a gentle breeze on a beautiful sunlit afternoon, a soft rain falling upon the flowers carpeting the desert floor on a warm springtime morning, or in the first rays of sunlight from an early morning sunrise slowly breaching the rim of the Grand Canyon.
We will all be forever grateful for everything you have done for us, for all the many personal sacrifices you have so willingly made for us, and for your loving guidance, strength and inspiration over the years. We will miss you dearly, but you have now gone on to a better place and your spirit will continue to light our paths and help guide us for the rest of our days on this earth. May God grant you the peace and serenity you so richly deserve after a long lifetime of service and devotion to your family and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix. Contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 38 W Dunlap Ave, Phoenix Arizona, 85021.
