Went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 6, 2020, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Lois is survived by her two sons, Nick High (wife Susan) and Glen High (wife Brenda). Her three grandsons are Andrew High (wife Jessica), Wesley High (wife Moriah), and Charlie High (wife Jaclyn). Lois was a wonderful and involved great-grandmother to her seven great-grandchildren: Stella, Scarlett, Camden, Grayson, Tenley, Carson and Samuel.
Lois was a committed follower of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her love for the Lord led her to North Phoenix Baptist Church where she met her beloved husband of 32 years, Chester (deceased 2018). Lois was an active member of her Bible Study class and she and Chet often opened their home for gatherings. The deep and lasting friendships Lois enjoyed through her church gave her much joy and comfort—and a whole lot of fun!
When Lois married Chester, she became a part of his family which includes five children: Alan, Linda, Annette, Chester Jr., and David. She loved and enjoyed their large family gatherings with all the adults, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lois and Chester were both very fond of traveling. Their journeys included cross-country driving trips in their van, time in Europe, and international cruises. They loved Hawaii so much that they went five times—and stayed three weeks each time!
For those who were blessed to call her, “Mom,” “Grandma,” or friend, we describe Lois with the following words: God-honoring, faithful, grateful, thoughtful, content, resolute, fun, and caring.
A Bible verse that was precious to Lois is 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”
Lois Elizabeth High Wright is now experiencing the things which God hath prepared for her!
The graveside service will be a time of sharing about Lois and a celebration of her life well lived. Following the graveside service, there will be a Reception at her home.
