Lloyd retired from the United States Air Force on August 1, 1969. He was a marksmanship instructor. He was one of the founders of the Ben Avery Range which was previously called the Black Canyon Range and was dedicated to the preservation and development of wildlife.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Peggy of 65 years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Crossing Hospice Care, www.hrcaz.com. A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 18 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley Rd., Phoenix.
