Linda Ann (McLaughlin) King passed away peacefully on May 18, 2019 after a 9 year courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 81 years old. A native Arizonan, Linda was raised in Phoenix, Tucson, and Bisbee. She retired from the State of Arizona in 2011 after serving seventeen years as an Administrative Assistant in the House of Representatives and the state Senate.
Linda was an ordained minister in the Church of Science of Mind. Her ministry tended the addicted, the homeless and the disenfranchised whose lives she forever changed with unconditional love of her fellow man. She was truly blessed and touched by Spirit and was loved by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her sister Eileen Young of Glendale, five children, Kimberly, Kevin, Kelly, Kendal (Clinkingbeard), and Kent. She was preceded in death by her son, Keith. She had ten grandchildren, Kendal Sue, Jeffrey, Mark, Kristin (Soto), Katie, Lindsey, Riley, Kyle, Anthony and Tyler. She had six great-grandchildren, Megan, Alex, Ava, Landon, Joseph and Vincent.
Services will be held at West Valley Center for Spiritual Living, 9745 W. Peoria Av, Peoria, AZ 85345 on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers to Barrow Neurological Foundation, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix.
