Lillie Elizabeth Dixon was born on June 26, 1935 to Louis and America Conley in the state of Texas. During Lillie’s younger years, her grandmother assisted in her upbringing. She relocated to Tucson, AZ with her mother during her adult years.
Lillie matriculated through Texas public school system. She received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Prairieview College in 1958 and her Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona in 1979.
