He was born Lawrence Edward Benjamin, to Terrance Benjamin and Alice Mae Gowans, on September 12, 1958 in Mesa, Az. As a young man he lived in Arizona, Japan, California, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and would eventually take residence in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He continued his education in the financial world and earned several prestigious certifications.
Lawrence was a loving and humorous father, son, relative, friend, and colleague. He enjoyed fishing, listening to jazz music, playing clarinet, cooking and roasting his own coffee to perfection.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Terrance Benjamin.
He is survived by mother, Alice Benjamin, his sister, Nancy Butler, his daughter Talyah Benjamin, many relatives and friends.
