Laura Torres Gutierrez

Laura Torres Gutierrez, age 81, passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 23, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Laura was born on January 10, 1941 in Howard County, Texas. She was married to Alberto Gutierrez (deceased) in December 1959 in Arizona. Laura had nine children and first became a grandmother in 1981. She provided for her family as an assembler with Adobe Air. Laura was an animal lover with a favoritism towards birds. She loved to cultivate nature and often had flowers and greenery in her home. Laura was the definition of unconditional love. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends whether that was sharing a meal, going to church, shopping for a good deal, or a trip to the casino. She was not one to sit idle. In her twilight years she continued to learn new skills such as quilting, jewelry making, and ceramics. She touched many lives with her kindness. While the world may feel a little more empty with her passing; heaven has gotten brighter. Until we meet again our friend, sister, mother and grandmother you will not be forgotten.

Laura T. Gutierrez is survived by her children Laura Adame, Rosemary Meister, Corina Vargas, Fernando Gutierrez, Maria G. Navejar, Annabelle Jose and Monalisa Del Rio, as well a several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be held on March 9, 2022 at 11am at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary located at 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042.
