Kevin was born in Madelia, MN, on September 16, 1954 to parents Robert L. Kizer, S.R. and Mary (Lee). Kevin was a hard worker and worked on his parents’ farm in Winthrop, MN. Kevin was one of six children and survived by his sister Brenda and brothers Mike and Bradley.
Kevin was united in marriage on June 8, 1984, to Beth (Jannusch). They lived in Winthrop, MN before moving to Hutchinson in March of 1989. They were blessed with four children; Laura, Michelle, Matthew and Michael. Kevin was a proud father who was always proud of his children. Kevin was also blessed with four grandchildren; Hailey, Serenity, Domenick, and Chloe.
Kevin graduated from high school in Winthrop, MN, in 1972. He also obtained a diploma in computer systems in 1999 from Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN graduating with honors. Kevin was employed at Hutchinson Technology in Hutchinson, MN, for 23 years. Kevin transitioned to Wings, a treatment center for adolescent children in Litchfield, MN in 2008 where he worked for six years. Most recently, he worked at Kaiser in Chandler, AZ.
Kevin was proud of his sobriety that he obtained in 2006. He was regularly involved activities and engaged in fellowship with his community.
Kevin’s hobbies included playing Bookworm Deluxe on his computer, listening to Paul McCartney and Beatles music, eating ice cream, as well as grilling outside on his patio while spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered most for his famous barbecue chicken. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help others. Most recently, he built a new swing set for his son Michael when his family moved to Phoenix, AZ in February of 2015. He had a kind and genuine personality that everybody loved. He will be missed by all.
