Kent Richard Parker, Sr.

Kent was born on March 20, 1959 to Kenneth Parker and Jacqueline Parker in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kent was the second of six children.

After Kent graduated from Marcos de Niza High School in 1977, he became an automotive technician, with an expertise in air conditioning systems. Kent ended his career teaching automotive and impacting many lives.

In 1980, Kent met Nancy in Arizona. Kent and Nancy went on to have 2 children, Kent Jr. (Ricky) and Kathy. Kent and Nancy later divorced after 39 years together.

Kent had many hobbies. He was an avid reader, loved to watch sports, particularly baseball (Diamondbacks) and football (Cardinals). He loved to play guitar and played in multiple bands. You could find him strumming his guitar almost daily and singing his heart out. Kent loved being a father and grandfather to all 7 of his grandchildren (Athena, Mia, Lilly, Robert, Jaxon, Carolyn and bonus granddaughter Lucy).

Kent was predeceased by his mother Jacqueline. He is survived by his father Kenneth; brothers Mike, Mark, Darrell; sisters Ginger and Suzie, children Kent Jr (Heather, Athena, Lilly, Robert) and Kathy (Mia, Jaxon, Carolyn).

A visitation for Kent will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
