Kathryn Marie Kutis, 84 of Phoenix, passed away on January 8, 2013. Kathryn was born in Winner, South Dakota on February 2, 1928. At age 8, she and her family moved to Oklahoma where they lived until 1945 when the family moved to Phoenix. She was a graduate of Lamson Business College and Arizona State University. She worked several years as an executive secretary before entering the teaching profession. She taught for 28 years in the Roosevelt School District. Upon her retirement, she continued the two passions of her life- learning and traveling. She was a mamber of the Shepherd of The Hills Congregational United Church of Christ. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Greenwood Mortuary Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix. Services will follow at the Chapel at 2:00 PM.
