58, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2012. She was dearly loved by her family and friends, and will be truly missed. She is survived by a brother and her loving cousins. Julie had a long career with the City of Phoenix, from which she retired to be with Bubba and Bella, her beloved miniature pinschers. When Julie went to work for the city, the world lost what might have been a stunning career in music or on the stage; she had a voice like an angel. Those of us who love Julie will long remember her courageous battle against a series of challenges that would have defeated or embittered most people. But Julie never gave up. She remained full of love and kindness. She never lost her ability to understand and empathize with the struggle of others. He laugh remained the same from childhood to the end - it swelled up, took her over, and made you laugh too. Spiritually, July was a constant seeker. The common thread that drew her always remained the same - if a belief system valued loving, caring, and gentleness towards others, it was of interest to her. Those she left behind in this world, miss that spirit, but are happy that she is now at peace next to John, the love of her life. Memorial Services will be held at Resthaven Park Mortuary and Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave. in Phoenix on December 8, 2012, beginning at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, Julie would be much happier with a donation to the American Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the Arizona Humane Society. Please visit www.resthavenpark.com to leave your condolences on Julie's online guestbook.
