Judith Ann Smith was born on October 21, 1943 unto Arvil Lee and Vesta Roberts in Long Beach, California. She was the first of three daughters and two sons. She has worn many titles in her life: daughter, sister, mom, grandma, Miss Judy, friend.
At an early age, Judy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She later married and was blessed with three sons: Ed, Jim, and John. As a single mother she worked hard to provide for her three boys, but her greatest provisions were her constant prayers.
She used her gifts of love and compassion to be a great mother to them, and later to their wives; and a wonderful grandmother to their children. She used her gift of singing to praise her Lord in the church choir for many years. She used her gift of teaching to teach Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She used her gift of service to volunteer as an aide for her son Ed’s class.
She lived a life of faithfulness, prayerfulness, and grace, and on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the age of seventy-eight, she went home to be with her Savior. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Don, and is survived by her brother Tom, her sisters Sherry and Candy, and her sons Ed, Jim, and John. She leaves behind three daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends, who all loved her dearly.
