Juan Ramon Escobar Sr.

Juan Ramon Escobar Sr. (born, January 24, 1945) passed away surrounded by family and friends on May 24, 2017 in Goodyear, AZ. Juan was born in Sinton, Texas. He moved to Arizona in 1954. He proudly served his country in the United States Army – 82nd Airborne Division. A long-time resident of the West Valley, Juan& his wife, Ruth, raised four children, Christina, Debra, Juan Jr. & Angela. Juan was a devoted husband, loving father & doting grandfather. He was always quick with a joke & smile to all who knew him. His grandchildren Matthew, Juan III, Lyanna, Alycia, Sammy and Draven truly are a reflection of Juan’s legacy of love & kindness. He is survived by his wife, Ruth. He is also survived by his children and their spouses; Debra and Brett, Juan Jr and Sabrina, and daughter, Angela; his siblings, Erminia, Lupe, Cruz, Valdo, Dolores and Frank. He’s reunited in heaven with his brother, Emilio, daughter Christina and his parents . He will be missed by many. We take comfort in knowing that Juan’s faith & belief in the Lord guided him home to rest in peace. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Greer Wilson Chapel, 5921 W. Thomas Rd., Phx, AZ. Funeral services will be held at Greer Wilson on May 31st at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phx, AZ at 11 a.m.
