Josephine Nunez Cota

May 27, 1932- February 19, 2020

Josephine Cota passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her three children, Anthony, Ben and Laurie. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 63 years Ernest Cota, who passed away one year ago; her parents Augustine and Maurilia Nunez, and siblings Ernest (Neto), Hector (Micky), Vicki, Gussie, David (Chivi), and Rose. She is survived by her brother Arthur Nunez, children Anthony, Ben (Yvonne) and Laurie, grandchildren Israel, Jonathan, Jacob, Augustine and Audrey, and great-grandchildren Alex, Nick, Isaiah, Caleb, and Arianna.

Josephine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly, including her extended family: such as cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her love of the Lord was evident by her words and deeds, and she prayerfully and financially supported many causes. She was a champion of the underdog, a dear friend to many, and a precious source of comfort to her family. She led by her wonderful examples of love and caring and will be missed more than words can convey. Our hearts are broken, but her legacy of love and compassion will live on in her family, in honor of her memory.
