Josephine Martinez Cavazos on June 9, 2013 at 9:02 a.m., at the young age of 71, returned home to heaven. She passed in her home with family and prayers surrounding her. She was born in Abilene, Texas, September 8, 1941 to Jose and Locaria Martinez. She married December 23, 1957 to Raul Cavazos at his parents’ home in San Antonio, Texas. She was an amazing women with much love for her family; sons Raul Cavazos Jr., Mark Cavazos, and Curt Cavazos and daughters Margie Ramirez, Elizabeth Cavazos, Phyllis Kozak. Her grandchildren where her entire world: Anthony Ramirez, Rueben Cavazos, Monique Ramirez, Benjamin Cavazos, Simon Cavazos, Jordan Cavazos, Jake McGuire, Madalyn McGuire, Brandon Cavazos, Cameron Cavazos. Her siblings include two surviving brothers - Paul Martinez, Jose Martinez Jr. and nine sisters - Mary Tovar, Sue Guzman, Jeannie Gamache, Tina Koicuba, Maria Romero, Nellie Cortez, Delia Martinez, Dolores Marquez, Betty Serrano. Visitation and Rosary will be at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85027 on Tuesday June 11, 2013. Family only visitation will be from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. with general visitation and Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. The memorial service will be Wednesday June 12, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the same location.
