John Francis Ryan Jr.

John Francis Ryan, Jr. went to his heavenly home on July 28th, 2013. A celebration of his life, will be held on Monday, August 12, at 11am at Orangewood Nazarene Church, 7510 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85051. John was born in Gary, Indiana on April 23, 1928 to John Francis Ryan Sr. and Emma Kate (Kentopp) Ryan. He was happy to serve in the US Army Air Corp for 2 years following WWII from 1946-1948, and was honorably discharged when his father passed away, returning from Japan to provide for his mother. He was the adoring husband to Marilyn J. Ryan for 62 years and the proud father to Linda Sue Hartley, John Patrick Ryan, and Cindy Ortagus. He was also the doting grandfather to Alexisse Ortagus, Keilah Ezekiel, and Cole Ortagus, and Frank Micko. He had two great grand-children, Aaron Ezekiel and Harrison Micko. John demonstrated unfailing love and devotion toward his God and family. He was an avid plane and train enthusiast, and loved to travel when his health permitted. He moved his family to Arizona in 1977 and has resided in Arizona ever since.
